Dr. Niels Haandbaek is a Director of Engineering at Daedalean AG in Zürich, Switzerland, where he leads a team of hardware engineers, driving innovative technology development for future products. He has more than two decades of experience spanning across diverse areas such as integrated circuit design, microfluidic single-cell analysis, and the development of scientific instruments for quantum computing. With his team, he now works on the practical aspects of creating hardware for certifiable AI-enhanced automation and autonomy in the context of manned and unmanned aviation.

Brandon Shibley leads the pre-sales solutions engineering team at Edge Impulse where he designs & consults on Edge AI solutions for smart products & edge automation. Prior to Edge Impulse, he led R&D at Toradex as Chief Technology Officer, including the creation of Torizon, an edge platform for mission-critical devices. In his 15 years working in edge computing, he’s developed software up-and-down the stack and consulted hundreds of companies developing embedded, IoT, and edge AI powered products.
Monica Houston
Manager of AI & ML, Tria Technologies
Monica Houston leads the AI / ML Applications Team for Tria Americas, where she focuses on enabling machine learning on Tria’s SOMs and developer kits. An avid maker and tinkerer, Monica founded the Seattle Arduino Meetup and was employee #2 at Hackster.io. She holds a master’s degree in Computer Science and Engineering from the University of Washington.
