Flash device servers are designed to make products with serial interfaces network-connected. The small size of the servers makes them ideal for Industrial environments where devices such as card readers and payment terminals can connect to an IP-based Ethernet LAN.Using these device servers gives PC software direct access to serial devices from anywhere on the network.
These Serial device servers are extremely compact, specially designed to be extremely rugged, with user- friendly interfaces for quick configuration, making simple and reliable serial-to-Ethernet solutions possible. They function not just as a physical converter of Serial ports to Ethernet and Fiber, but also provide protocols support like Modbus, ASCII, RTU and TCP, and Rest API, to provide a one-stop highly flexible and configurable Industrial Grade solution.
The Flash series convert between Modbus TCP and Modbus RTU/ASCII protocols. Up to 16 simultaneous Modbus TCP masters are supported, with up to 31 RTU/ASCII slaves per serial port. For RTU/ASCII masters, up to 32 TCP slaves are supported. With these models, Modbus serial slave devices can be seamlessly incorporated into an existing Modbus TCP network, and Modbus TCP slaves can be made accessible to serial masters. They can manage up to 124 serial slave nodes. Each RS-232/422/485 serial port can be configured individually for Modbus RTU or Modbus ASCII operation and for different baud rates, allowing both types of networks to be integrated with Modbus TCP through one Modbus gateway.
With its unique options of Fiber it provides a good solution for a high-end serial to Fibre converter for varied Industrial applications.
